Silver in the Sunlight

November 28th, 2010

Supporting gentle waving

Planes of bursting yellow-green

Well rounded at their face

For to meet the highest rays,

Arms raised modestly in praise

Lending simple shadows

To friends in low places

Who hide their faces

During the raging fires let through,

Left most grateful from the

Saturation that ensues

When sleeping eyes awake

To find sweet destruction

Bringing welcomed green production

To the land of slash and burn.
